PLAYING CARDS- from 18th century

http://www.collectorsplayingcards.co.uk/cardsale_std.htm

1870
A very rare Standard American pack by this little known US manufacturer, Eagle Playing Card Co of Cincinnati. These are the kind of cards which were used during the heyday of the gunslingers and so-called 'Wild West'. The pack has undoubtedly seen some action and the condition shows that. There are creases and a few missing corners, this is reflected in the price, but the value is in the rarity. Help yourself to a bit of real American history - if only the cards could speak! 52 complete, in well used condition.

1880
Standard French face by Gatteaux Jack of Clubs dated 1853. Ace of Clubs with 1890 tax stamp. Named courts, no indices. Fine quality heavy old laid paper with watermark. Stencil colouring. Reverse design of small squares in dark greenish grey. A very nice pack of cards. 32 complete. VF used for playing with, some signs of wear.

1890
Standard Paris, design by Gatteaux. 4 indices, wreath and C watermark. Good quality card. 1853 tax reference on JC. 1890 tax stamp on Ace of Clubs. 52 with JOKER (unusual to find a joker) Tourel, Avignon on banner under the joker. VF+
