PLAYING CARDS FORMATS (shapes)

Bellow is an image which includes the illustration of the card within the shape of the suit, this is interesting as it the white space around the card brings more focus on the detail of the design. however if i was to take this type of approach for the design of the pack, i would have to really simplify the design for the gods illustrations. so they all work as a consistent set. so i would have to simplify the illustration into an icon style approach such as the one allocated below. this will lose the intricate and subtle details i want to include so i will not take this form of approach



After looking into different formats to base the cards on for example spuare shaped, i have found that it would not really suit the style and limited edition, collectors feel i want to be bring across for the cards. adjusting the shape of the cards can result in them looking like a pack of cards which you would receive in a party pack. it could also suggest that i have adjusted the shape of the cards in order to be different which would make the pack look unconsidered.
